Your symptoms can be: one or two separate issues. Flashes of light seen in a dark room may be due to vitreous pulling the retina causing retinal traction, tears, breaks or even detachments and should be evaluated. Lights seen in a zig-zag fashion may be from visual aura known as a 'scintillating scotoma" and is associated with a variation of migraine headaches. This as well can be evaluated by your Ophthalmologist.

Similar to other questions, when I move my eyes quickly from one direction to another I tend to see white flashes or streaks. Is this concerning?
Whenever I close my eyes, look to the left, then open them, I see a green circle for around 1-3 seconds. Is that something I should be worried about? I also keep seeing lighting flashes of lights when I look at them, what does that mean?
