A member asked:

Why do doctors put mercury in some vaccines?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Odd question: Thimerosal is a mercury containing preservative that helps keep multi-dose(ie10dose) vaccines from growing bacterial contaminants picked up randomly during use.(that could cause blood poisoning) It has never been scientifically linked with any human injury. It was removed from most childhood vaccines in the '90's. It persists in a few vaccines. You get more mercury exposure from eating tuna.
