When does an abscess in the cheek require immediate emergency treatment?

Always!: A dental access that has spread to the cheek is an indication of a severe infection and requires immediate attention. If you can not get to an oral surgeon then go to the emergency room. This type of infection can spread to the eye and the brian and if left untreated can be fatal.
