When did people start getting double eyelid surgery? how common is it?

Upper & Lower?: It is safe to perform upper and lower eyelid lifts at the same time if that is what is required. There is generally more swelling in both afterward. Over the years I find that I do less lower eyelid skin excision and more fat injection and laser resurfacing of the lower lids, in conjunction with upper blepharoplasty. However some folks have significant lower eyelid skin that requires excision.

Double Eyelid: It is a safe and effective surgery. It is common nowadays. The quad blepharoplasty is performed on both the upper and lower eyelids.
