EMLA (lidocaine and prilocaine): EMLA (lidocaine and prilocaine) cream will reduce the pain of the needle stick, however one still needs local infiltration of local anesthetic via intradermal injection to be a completely pain free procedure.

Yes: Yes it will help but you still may require the injection of a local anesthetic as well; the EMLA (lidocaine and prilocaine) will reduce the pain from the injection of local anesthetic.
