What could cause an abnormal ekg for somebody with chest pains?

ECG: Sorry but this question can't be answered simply. We use ECG in folks with chest pains because there are some very typical and fairly specific changes seen in myocardial ischemia. On the other hand loads of things can cause 'abnormal' ECG and some of those loads are seen in people with chest pain without serious problems.
