When getting a nerve block for fulkerson osteotomy, can you be put to sleep before the nerve block is given?

Discretion of doctor: It is at the discretion of the performing doctor. Anxiety can be abated with preprocedure versed. I personally would like to have my patient awake if I was going to use an ultrasound and nerve stimulator.
