See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, while your ALT is about twice the usual level, it is not too high. If you drink alcohol, stop entirely and discuss with your doctor if any of the medications you are taking may be causing it.
