See an ENT: A throat specialist can take a look and check you for polyps or other issues that can affect your voice. If nothing is wrong consider a voice instructor to teach you how to use your voice, and keep it healthy. The voice instructor can also help you sing different notes and give you practice tips.

Boop Boop-a Doop!!: "Tongue tied" really refers to a problem with articulation (speech) because of a restriction in movement of the tongue. A"girly" voice comes from other areas, mostly the vocal cords but also the nose and sinuses. You weren't specific about what "girlie" sounds like so i assume you mean too high for your mother's taste, like Betty Boop or Olive Oyl? A speech Therapist could help you in one visit.
