I would be a nag: Ask the surgeon to be put on the list to be called if there is a last-minute cancellation in his office. Also go back to the referring doc and ask him to call the surgeon to move you up in the schedule. A month is probably OK but unless you already have biopsy pathology identifying what it is, I would be equally anxious. Maybe your doc can throw in pelvic MRI w/contrast while waiting? Take action.

What growth?: Did your doctor tell you what he/she thinks the growth is? For example waiting a month to treat condyloma would be fine; depending on what else it "is," waiting might be less advisable.

Yes: Yes, many things can happen in a month. But think back to how long it's been there. If it's been a while, it probably won't change over a month. If it just popped up, it could potentially change quite a bit over 30 days. Also depends upon "growth". If it's a "mole", less likely to change. If a cyst/gland/abscess, yes, it could change, especially abscess. But then again, if that, s/he wouldn't wait
