Common: Peroneal tendon tears are common and often resolve without surgery. Conservative measures consist of anti-inflammatories, therapeutic exercise, avoiding painful activities, rest, ice, compression and elevation. These should be employed all at the same time for a few months prior to surgery. Often best to keep calm and give them more time to become less painful. How long have you had the pain?
