What are conservative treatments for a torn peroneal brevis tendon? i've done pt and had an injection both unsuccessful. insur. comp. denies surgery.

Cause of tear....: This is difficult to answer without knowing the time frame of when the injury occurred and when the various types of treatments were tried as well as the severity and location of the tear. Ill timed p.t. and steroid use can not only be unsuccessful, but, in some specific circumstances, can actually delay the healing. It might be time for another opinion.
