I got a dog bite today. i went to the hospital, they said clean it everytime i change the bandages. but no tips on how to clean it. suggestions?

Shower: Irrigate it in the shower 2-3 times a day. Hopefully you are on an antibiotic to cover infection. All the best ans so sorry about your bite. If it looks red, becomes painful or is draining pus be rechecked.

If bitten by a dog &: wound is minor - wash w soap &water, apply antibiotic ointment & cover w bandaid /bandage. Get tetanus shot if you haven’t had one in last 10 years or your don’t know. For more serious wound or possible infection, apply pressure &obtain urgent care. Per mayo clinic, if last tetanus shot was > 5 years ago &wound is “deep or dirty”, a booster shot may be recommended. Clean 2 to 3 times /day w soap>
