Likely cancer: A hilar mass is usually a cancer. To confirm diagnosis and tell what type of cancer, a biopsy is needed. Further treatment depends on biopsy results, often includes radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy. Let your treatment be guided by wisdom and experience, not fear and hearsay. Good luck.
