Yes and yes: Sounds like the surg was recently. It's not uncommon to feel bony edges of the socket or jaw next to where the tooth was for 2 months or so

Normal: Normal and should improve. Occasionally it becomes sharper and needs to be reduced. For best results, make sure you are evaluated and treated by a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
