Many possibilities: Gastritis can do this and it is very common. The symptoms can be controlled with nonprescription antacids, acid reducers such as ranitidine and omeprazole GERD can do it but the same meds I mentioned can help. Gallbladder problems, like gallstones, and constipation can also be the cause. A high fiber diet or extra fiber is useful. if not better after these, see a doctor for deeper testing.
