Only after Dr's help: Yes - I'd want to stop too. zbut you need to do it w/ medical monitoring to avoid w/drawal problems that can be really awful. It's something I wish people would be warned about because it is serious. So, tell your doctor and work together to stop. There are alternatives and Therapy will help too - it has no side effects and always optimizes medication effects.

Not without talking: to your psychiatrist, who can prescribe a regimen to cross over to another medication. Unless Risperidone is tapered very slowly, you can have withdrawal dyskinesia, involuntary movements &'your symptoms can rebound. List all your prescription, OTC, herbal, naturopathic & homeopathic medications including vitamin supplements for your visit. See your therapist regularly, especially during changes.
