Reasonably safe.: During sedation for an endoscopy, your vital signs and oxygen levels in your blood will be monitored. Most of the time a cough due to a cold is not a contraindication to having a procedure, but you certainly should let the person who is monitoring your anesthesia know about it ahead of time, and be sure that you are evaluated that morning before you are sedated. Good luck.
