Different but the: Same - almost! Both are sources of fiber. Benefiber comes from wheat dextrin, while Metamucil comes from psyllium seed. One is not necessarily better than the other, you just have to see which one your body better tolerates. Be ware, Benefiber contains exceptional small amounts of gluten, so that may come into play for a very sensitive select few. Both can be used daily.

Differences: Benefiber contains wheat dextrin and metamucil contains psyllium. They are different types of fiber but both are beneficial and safe taken daily. Make sure you increase your fiber supplement dose slowly as taking a large amount all at once can cause cramping. Also make sure you are taking plenty of water when taking any fiber supplement.
