The same thing: Those terms are for the same thing. One is the Brand name - the other is the active ingredient - generic term.

Not necessarily: I'm sure you're aware that Gralise is A brand name for the generic gabapentin. There are many other BRAND NAME drugs which are nothing but gabapentin. So really, the whole argument of which is better, Brand or Generic is moot since some people react better to one than other and all the bad rap that generics get really just comes down to individual body reactivity to each preparation.
