I went to the doctor and he said i sprained my knee and i went to therapy for it but it is hurting me close to my meniscus what should i do?

Depends: Depends on the type of specialist you saw. Obviously you don't want to suffer through your therapy. 'close to my meniscus' means nothing. Did you have an acute injury? Did the knee swell? Is there an effusion? Can you walk on the limb? Recommend following up with your MD or an orthopedic surgeon if that's not who you first saw.
