Inheritance: Those medical traits or characteristics that are transmitted through genes that have been passed from parents to their offspring (children) are a type of Genetic inheritance. If your parents were Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie people might say you have "good genes" to be attractive. If it was John Merrick, who had neurofibromatosis and was called "the elephant man," you could say you had bad genes.
