It depends: on what the source of the bleeding is, and how much blood you are seeing! If you are over 40 or have any family history of colon cancer it might be "bad", but even young people can have problems like hemorrhoids, ulcers, fissures, diverticuli, or colon polyps. Since I don't know your history or age, or risk factors, it is best that you see your Dr to identify the source of bleeding!

See doctor: Blood in stool lasting for a week is always of concern. It may be from hemorrhoid or something far more serious even though you do not have other symptoms yet. Make an appt with your doctor ASAP.
