Ask your OB-GYN.: if you're unclear about the results of a procedure, and have received the report and test results, you need to discuss this with your doctor. It could mean a number of things, and more importantly, it raises a lot of questions that you both need to discuss together. You need to find out what the 'cells were changing into'? Call and find out. Good luck!

HPV - precancerous : The Papanicolou or Pap, smear was invented to screen for women who might go on to develop cervical cancer by looking for abnormal cells on a smear for the cervix. More recently, science has shown that these changes are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, or HPV. Your doctor was saying both of these things. You will need more frequent monitoring for a while.
