I have aching pain in my pinky finger. no swelling/redness. worse in the cold. slight bump and i get a sharp, stabbing pain down tip into knuckle.

Bumps aren't normal : there on your pinky. Do you mean nodule? Circulation may be an issue during the cold weather. Discuss this with your PCP so s/he can evaluate you further and see what can be done for treatment options.
