Variable: It may have no effect on the ICD, but more likely, the ICD will need to be reprogrammed to restore the desired settings.

No special issues: In general the AED will not effect the ICD, there are some exceptions. When placing the AED patches, the presence of an ICD will be fairly obvious to the first responders and they should take care not to place the AED patch directly over the ICD

ICD: If an ICD patient had a shockable arrhythmia and the ICD didn't fire or fired and didn't convert the rhythm, its not likely the AED if fired would cause a problem. If an AED were applied to a patient with an ICD and an inappropriate shock was delivered by the device after it was activated by someone, it is possible that the ICD could be damaged. Other possibilities also exist..
