Sugar: Patients with hypoglycemia severe enough to require a hospital will receive sugar in the IV in the form of dextrose, which is pretty much the same thing as glucose.

Call her doctor: Not sure what is going on or if her blood sugar is normal. Make sure that her blood sugar is ok and call her prescribing physician about her symptoms.
