Can you tell me what occurs to a patiant with a icd if he was shocked by a aed?

ICD/AED: If a patient had an icd and it was working appropriately, the patient would have been shocked by the device if the program parameters were met. If the icd were not functioning appropriately and was shocked with an AED appropriately, it is unlikely any untoward effects would result. After such an event, the icd would need to be checked out however, to verify its status.

Icd: usually not much, But if AED patches are placed over or near ICD, you may have the ICD checked to make sure nothing is effected.
