A member asked:

With lexapro, (escitalopram) are abnormal heartbeat complications an issue with daily doses of 20mg or less if patient has an a-icd? or at higher doses of 40mg+?

Lexapro (escitalopram): I would suggest discussing with your prescriber about continuation of Lexapro (escitalopram) considering there is a a-icd involved. Lexapro (escitalopram) can have an adverse affect of porlonged qt interval. Although dosage reductions are indicated for patients 65 and older (<10mg), considering your past med hx, i would make sure you are at the lowest effective dose, less that 20mg, more like 10mg or so.
