Variable: As it is a blood pressure lowering medicine, it would be expected that it would lower your blood pressure. How much depends on the dose, your level of hydration, e.t.c. Losartan is an angiotensin blocker, and also is used to protect the kidneys in a diabetic, and in patients with cardiomyopathy, even if they don't have high blood pressure.
