Alternatives : Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (arb). It does contain potassium. If you do not have serious chronic kidney disease (ckd), the k will not be a problem for you. Other arb's which are effective, have the same effect with no k are valosartan and olmesartan. If you and your physician think k is not good for you, one of those two arb's are excellent choices to switch to. Good luck.
