What steps are taken after someone's eye is punctured by a needle?

Depends who's punct: uring the eye. If the retinologist is doing it, it will be self sealing and cause little problem. If it's traumatically induced, that's a problem if the needle is not sterile. See your eye doctor if this happens quickly to save vision.
