Ureteral valve: Ureter normally forms non-refluxing valve as it enters bladder. Angle of entry and length of intramural ureter are important. Also ureteral musculature which consists of two spirals one tight and second more open spiral. This tends to keep ureter closed exempt during peristalsis when a small bolus of urine is propelled down ureter & out thru ureteral opening which is closed between peristalses.
