Psychosis, bipolar: Psychosis is a break with reality, symptoms can include delusions or hallucinations. Conditions include schizophrenia or mood disorder with psychosis. Risperidone is one of several "second-generation" antipsychotics that can relieve such symptoms. Others are quetiapine, lurasidone and aripiprazole. Risperidone and the other second-generations are also used as mood stabilizers in bipolar disorder.
