Elongated bone.: Eagle syndrome is an aggregate of symptoms caused by an elongated ossified styloid process (bone extending from base of skull to throat area). Symptoms include unilateral sore throat, difficulty swallowing, ear pain and ear ringing, unilateral facial and neck pain. Treatment varies. See an ENT or oral surgeon for evaluation.
