A member asked:

What does it mean if you have a positive titer to cold sores?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

COLD SORES: Cold sores are caused by Herpes Simplex Virus 1 or 2. If you've been told you have a positive titer, you most likely have antibody to HSV 1 which is most commonly associated with "cold sores" and is found in great majority of adults.
