Taken: You should not stop the coumadin (warfarin) on this antibiotic. Be sure your grandmother follows-up with her Dr. if she worsens or does not improve.

Take med & call: your Dr. Risk of stroke from AFib can be more worrisome than some blood loss in urine while antibiotic working. Also, let your Dr know you are on it, as most abx can interfere with INR, so may need level check sooner than later.

Coumadin (warfarin): antibiotics can certainly interact with antibiotics causing a change in the INR. Blood tests should be done to check her INR to see if her Coumadin (warfarin) needs to change while she is on antibiotics.
