See eye doc ASAP!: Talk to your family doc and see if a referral can be made as soon as possible. An optometrist can do an initial evaluation too, and help determine nature of problem and urgency of referral to an eye specialist. Optometrists often can see same day at eye care centers, offices, without a referral. (Check eye docs at Wal-mart, or eye urgent care centers, etc.,).
