A member asked:

I can scream dr still don't know what it is its in my throat and still have 100 fever put me on antibiotics if not better next week then off to ent dr?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sore throat: Hoarseness is a common symptom or laryngitis, most often due to viral infection. Many times a sore throat with low grade temperature is from a viral upper respiratory infection, as well. A simple doctor or urgent care visit can straighten that out. You don't necessarily need an ENT for that. It's not a good idea to take the antibiotics without a good diagnosis. That can lead to future problems.
