Needs re-evaluation: Suggest go to ENT , and possible MRI or CT of Neck area to check for pus pockets or deep soft tissue neck infections! Augmentin treats most streptococcal and anaerobic streptococcal infections! The persistently high fever can also point to occult abscess or puss in the soft tissues or fascia of the neck! Best Have the Otolaryngologist check him son!
