I got a tooth pulled out today and was in a lot of pain i had a infection deep down in my gum i'm in a lot of pain after my tooth has been removed why?

Tooth trouble: Pain is subjective - and certainly some people feel it 'more' than others. Given that you had a tooth pulled out from your jaw bone, I would expect that to hurt alot. Hopefully this was 'curative' for the infection and I would assume your oral surgeon/dentist gave you pain meds to deal with this. You should have a follow up with them in the next couple days to make sure you're on track to healing.

Nerve endings: You are in pain because the nerve endings in that area have been traumatized and are inflamed. Just because your tooth was extracted does not mean that the pain instantly disappears. You were infected and were in a lot of pain going into the procedure... it will take time for your body to heal. You'll need to take pain meds in the meantime to alleviate your discomfort. Feel better soon..
