H. parainfluenzae: Haemophilus parainfluenzae, is a common bacteria found normally in the oropharynx. It probably is NOT the germ responsible for your pharyngitis, although I hope by now after 7 days of antibiotics you're better. Various viruses (mono) and bacteria (Strep A) would be on my list - were they checked for? A related bacteria known as Haemophilus influenzae IS a pathogen (a real germ) but u don't have it
