I have had pink-ish orange spotting for the last two days, and am 16 days from my next period. i'm also on amoxicillin for strep throat for another 5 days and have had a few side effects. could this be another side effect, or something else?

Depends: Depends on where exactly spotting is coming from: urinary or vaginal tract & if sexually active (unlikely to be an early miscarriage but possible depending on how long cycle is usually): side effect of amox is unlikely; see PCP for exam, Urinalysis if coming from urinary tract.
