Fall: Almost certainly . The first right thing to do is see your podiatrist on an emergency appointment . X rays can be taken , and an evaluation done . A severe sprain can present this way as well . Either way an evaluation is warranted .

Ice, elevate foot: Elevate your foot as high as possible and apply ice bag to the foot as much as possible. You should also have x-ray of your foot to make sure you don't have a broken bone.

You should: probably go to the ER or urgent care center, you might have a fracture. They will likely take some X-rays to check.
