Vicks is fine. : You may apply a little on the the chest as needed. Since your baby is 11 months old , you can try Claritin (loratadine) or its equivalent half teaspoon once daily . Steaming up the bathroom may help loosen up mucus , applying saline nose drops and suction as needed. If no better , consult with your pediatrician .

Cool mist vaporizer,: saline nose drops. OTC cough and cold medications do not work in young children. If not better, see doctor.
