Depends on your doc: Different docs handle this in different ways. If you start on a high dose of Metformin initially, it can give you nausea and diarrhea. Many docs will start you on a low dose of Metformin first to allow your body time to adjust. Over time they increase the dose into a range that is helpful with PCOS and then start Clomid (clomiphene). Some docs don't use Metformin at all. Best wishes!
