Steroid: this medicine is a glucocorticoid which can help reduce inflammation. If there is information as a possible contributing factor to his condition, it may help. As with any medicine the side effect list is rather long. You can Google this. If he has a history of diabetes or stomach ulcers or kidney problems he should not take this medicine.
