Should be fine,but: While it shouldn't affect your BP very much I would caution a young person like you not to take Xanax (alprazolam) and anti anxiety meds. Try relaxation methods like yoga,music and exercise. Good luck

Should be safe: Would not expect any significant drop in BP after small Xanax (alprazolam) dose. You could always start with half the Xanax (alprazolam) dose if concerned.

No problems: Atenolol and xanax (alprazolam) may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. Because xanax (alprazolam) has a quick onset, and atenolol slower, there is no problem for you to take them together. Always ask your doctor before taking any new medicines.
