Neither: Nowadays we don't use benzos alone in treatment of Anxiety D/O's. We use medications that regulate anxiety & add a small dosage of Clonazepam (at our center we start with 0.125mg , & it works). Xanax (alprazolam) is short acting & we don't use because of inter-dose withdrawal & increase in baseline anxiety. Sedoxil (Mexazolam ) is not available in US, very long acting and leads to accumulation. Feel better.
