Urinalysis & CT scan: Urine may show blood in the urine. Kidney ultrasound will demonstrate larger kidney stones or obstruction if present. Spiral x-ray ct scan is the most reliable for demonstrating kidney stones. Good luck.

Several: There are several tests used. The best test is the ct scan but has a lot of radiation. In addition, a kub x-ray, kidney ultrasound, and urinalysis are also used as adjunctive tests.
